I know it sounds like a basic principle, but how many of us follow it? If you find that your workspaces or home are constantly getting filled with clutter every few days, it’s possible you don’t have a place for everything!
I spent this whole weekend reorganizing my home office to not only ensure that every object had a place, but also items that are used less often are put in harder to reach spots and items that I use or need more frequently in very easy to reach places. That way, when I’m done with something that I use often, it immediately gets put back in its spot.
I’ve also found that the shoebox containers from The Container Store are very nice to have and I highly recommend buying their 20 count box. Pair those with a label maker and you are set off to a great start towards being more organized.
